Johnny Siera is a founding member, singer, songwriter and guitarist of experimental art punk band The Death Set. Active from 2005 till present in Sydney, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York City, The Death Set have released three albums on seminal U.K. label Ninja Tune and two EPs on Modular Records and Dim Mak. ﷯The band has played over 500 live performances in Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, Europe, Scandinavia, Puerto Rico and Mexico including spots at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, the Reading / Leeds Festivals, Secret Garden and Love Box Festivals in the United Kingdom, Dour Festival in Belgium, Oya Festival in Norway, North by Northeast music conference in Canada, Pohoda Festival in Slovakia, Pantiero, Cabaret Vert, Marsatac and Le Grand Souk Festivals in France, Festival Nrmal in Mexico, Falls Festival in Australia and five years showcasing at the South by Southwest music conference in Austin, Texas. The Death Set songs have been featured in Google Chrome's commercial including plays during the 2012 Super Bowl; on TV shows Broad City, Workaholics, Killjoys, 24/7, How To Make It In America and Degrassi Junior High; in films V/H/S and V/H/S/2; video games NBA 2K12, Sunset Overdrive, and Gran Turismo 6; Red Bull's mountain biking video Red Bull Rampage, and a remix in a Ministry of Sound compilation. ﷯ Johnny is also co-producer and co-videographer of Tiger Tooth, a NYC electronic music and multimedia project. Their 15 track debut album was released in 2016 with songs and music videos premiering at Beatport News, XLR8R, Nest HQ, This Song Slaps, Less Than 3, Stoney Roads and much more. They licensed two tracks to Toolroom Records for their "Ibiza" compilations which subsequently lived at number 1 on both the Beatport House and Techno charts for weeks.
